Privacy policy

Marshall Stuart Fine Wines collects the information you give us when you place an order, join the wine club, book a tasting, or sign up for email: your name, shipping and billing address, phone number, email address, and date of birth for age verification. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored on our systems.

We use that information to fulfil orders, process club shipments, confirm reservations, respond to inquiries, and send you news about releases and events. You can unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in any message, or by writing to us.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who need it to do their work for us: our ecommerce and club platform, our payment processor, and the carriers who deliver your wine. We also disclose information when the law requires it.

This site uses cookies and similar technology to keep your cart, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, though parts of the store may stop working if you do.

You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. California residents have additional rights under state privacy law. Write to us and we will respond within the time the law allows.

We keep your information for as long as we need it to serve you and to meet our tax, alcohol licensing and record-keeping obligations.

Terms of sale

You must be at least 21 years of age to buy wine from us. By placing an order you confirm that you are 21 or older, that the person receiving the shipment is 21 or older, and that the wine is for personal consumption rather than resale.

An adult 21 or older must be present to sign for every delivery, with valid government-issued photo identification. Carriers will not leave wine at an unattended address. Orders that cannot be delivered after the carrier has made its attempts are returned to us, and we may deduct return shipping from any refund.

Prices are in U.S. dollars and are subject to change. We charge applicable sales tax. Vintages, allocations and availability change constantly; if a wine sells out after you order it, we will contact you to substitute or refund.

We reserve the right to limit quantities, to refuse or cancel any order, and to decline shipment to any state where we are not licensed to ship.

Shipping & returns

We ship to states where we hold the necessary permits. During hot weather we may hold shipments until conditions are safe for the wine, and we will let you know when we do.

If a bottle arrives damaged or is flawed, contact us within fourteen days of delivery and we will replace it or refund it. Please keep the bottle and the packaging until we have resolved it. We cannot accept returns on wine that has been opened, stored improperly, or bought simply because tastes differ.

Title and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier accepts the shipment.

Wine club terms

Wine club membership is a recurring commitment. Quarterly releases ship four times a year, in January, April, July and October, and the card on file is charged when each release is processed, at member pricing plus applicable tax and shipping. Nothing is charged when you join a quarterly club. The Barn Club is billed $30 a month from the day you join. Member pricing, complimentary tastings and event access apply while your membership is active and in good standing.

Keep your card and shipping address current: a declined card or an undeliverable address delays your release and may pause your membership. To skip a release, ask for different bottles, change your tier, or cancel, contact us before that release is processed; changes requested after a release has been processed take effect with the following one. Quarterly memberships run for a minimum of four releases, and leaving before your fourth release carries a $75 early termination fee. The Barn Club may be cancelled at any time.

The same age verification and adult signature requirements apply to club shipments as to any other order.

The text, photography, label artwork and marks on this site belong to Marshall Stuart Fine Wines and may not be reproduced without written permission. Tasting notes, scores and awards are provided for information and are not a guarantee of any particular experience.

We provide this site as it is, without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from its use. We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page tells you when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
